Hi,
as the search function is not working again i would like to ask if and where i can find the new reference Data for Entrenchment 1.03?
Thanks
the easiest way is first copy your sins & entrenchment porgram folders to where you want to store your reference files, then download & run my sins txt bin gui, then browse in the folder view in the gui to your new reference area opening the folder so that you can see the folders inside it, then click on the convert this folder, then click on the convert the folder NOW button and the gui will convert all the bin-ned files to txt, AND report the files successfully converted, the files that failed to convert AND the files that are already in the wanted type both in the program AND in txt files in the folder that was just converted
hope this helps

Ah, thanks. So we have to make them ourselfes..
there have been no official references released sins 1.01. it would be good to have officials but atleast the gui helps people that want them to make them
funny, this time they released the dev.exe but not the data, yet the last time I heard from them about the data, was that they are still working on it, yet it been like nearly 2 weeks since the update yet they haven't even released it
What are they "working" on? I took barely 1 min to make the textfiles myself...
TBH, no clue
ConvertData.exe in the forge tools can convert binary files to text. AFAIK there is no need to update the convertdata exe. It will work on 1.03 files. So there hasnt been any new releases of updated reference files. There really is no need to since we can convert them ourselves. Its a pain to do 1 file at a time. You can use Harpos GUI tool to batch convert. There is another GUI tool out there as well. You need to search convertdata GUI for it. Both tools work the same.
I disagree. I see a porpose in the new reference data. My mod is not working since the last Update, and i wanted to have a look why. But i am not at home and i don`t have acess to my normal modding tools(For example i had no convertdata.exe). Therefore it would have been convenient if they would provide the reference data to make a fast update for mods possible. For them it is a few seconds of work. But i had to spend several hours to organise a convertdata.exe. Generally every modder has to do the same work and together hundrets of hours a wasted...
grottenolm85 that is WHY I wrote my convertdata gui to cut out the file by file conversion AND use the correct convertdata for the expansion, the older convertdata gui only used the one convertdata and the user had to re-name the convertdata when switching between sins & entrenchment conversion, and had NOT been updated after entrenchment's release
also I am writing a MODS updater that i will be updating with the changes for the latest patch and the updates to the files i intend to release within a few hours of the patch release.
the mod updater is currently in destruction testing with several modders and my beta team
Hi guys I cannot get some of the files converted. I tryed your converter Harpo and a the .bat. For the life of me I don't get what I am doing wrong.

are you using the convertdata_entrenchment? I think you might be trying to create a texted reference set for entrenchment, my sins txt bin gui looks at the path to determine which convertdata to use ie if no entrenchment in the path assumes vanilla sins if entrenchment is in the path then assumes entrenchment, and will make the same assumptions with regard to all future expansions
my reference folder layout is below
sins reference\sins 1.15 \sins 1.16 \sins 1.17 \entrenchment 1.01 \entrenchment 1.02 \entrenchment 1.03
in this layout the gui works perfectly and will use the correct convertdata for the expansion/original sins
can some1 just post an archive of the 1.03 reference data i cant seem to get it to work proly because im using win7 x64, id realy apreaciate it if some1 can post the converted 1.03 data
poseidonxp, my gui has been tested on window 7 64bit beta 1 AND rc1 in the above directory layout and it worked without problem for me, abd I did have some issues when I uploaded a copy of the reference data to do with the file being corrupted and unable to extract it, while the original copy of the archive on my computer had no problems
ok thanks il give it another try
